Konya is one of Turkey's large industrial provinces, but its industry is built around automotive supply, metal casting, machinery and agricultural machinery, and textiles and apparel play a secondary role. According to the Konya Chamber of Commerce's (KTO) 2025 sector report based on TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute) data, the province's exports of knitted (HS Chapter 61) and not-knitted (HS Chapter 62) apparel total about US$8.8 million, or 0.05-0.06% of Turkey's total. The page does not state the period of the report, so do not read the figure as an annual total.

Industrial profile

According to the Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO), Konya has 12 organized industrial zones (OSBs). About 65,000 people work in the Konya OSB, where production covers 40 different sectors, weighted toward automotive spare parts, casting, machinery and agricultural machinery. KSO lists automotive, machinery and equipment, base metals, agriculture and food, rubber and plastics, packaging, furniture, wood products and footwear among the province's leading sectors, and the sector list on the province's investment promotion portal contains no textiles or apparel either. KSO also says the province has more than 3,500 exporting companies and exports to more than 190 countries (no period stated). The export culture is strong, but it is not centered on textiles.

In the KTO table, Konya's largest textile-related export items are carpets and floor coverings at US$7.1 million (0.25% of Turkey's total), knitted apparel at US$5.9 million, made-up textile articles at US$5.0 million (0.24%) and not-knitted apparel at US$2.9 million. KSO has a Textile Professional Committee, which discussed the sector's problems on September 18, 2026. So there are organized textile members in Konya, but their volumes are small (Tekstil Rehberi interpretation).

Finding suppliers in Konya

First clarify the business model: does the company work for the domestic market or for export, and which product group does it specialize in? Ask for the production address and the industry registry certificate (Sanayi Sicil Belgesi), and compare quotes with those from manufacturers in other provinces on the same basis (quantity, samples, lead time). On the carpet and rug, home textiles, apparel and CMT sewing pages you can select Konya with the province filter. Our guide How to Choose a CMT Workshop in Turkey lists what to check before you place an order.
