For buyers
No companies are listed on this page yet. You do not have to wait for the list: describe what you need and request quotes.
Tell us the product, quantity and delivery location. You confirm your request with the link we e-mail you; requests are screened for spam, and our team reviews your first request. It is then sent to up to 20 companies working in this field and stays open for quotes in their company panel for 30 days. You compare the quotes you receive on one page.

List your company for freeTechnical textiles are made for function rather than appearance. They have a measurable job: protecting a patient or healthcare worker, covering a vehicle interior, shielding a worker from fire, holding the ground under a road, removing dust from the air or carrying bulk material in a bag. This page is a gateway to help you decide which sub-sector to search in. Each sub-sector page has its own checklist and document guidance.
If you are looking for the raw surface, the nonwovens and technical fabrics categories in the Fabrics sector may also help. Messe Frankfurt, the organizer of the Techtextil trade fair, groups the products shown at the fair into application areas such as agriculture (Agrotech), construction (Buildtech), packaging (Packtech) and sport (Sporttech) (Messe Frankfurt). The sub-sector pages of this directory follow the product groups buyers use when looking for companies, not the fair's classification.
Fiber and raw material type, processes such as coating or lamination, the number of layers, certification and testing cost, order quantity and traceability requirements set the price. If two quotes under the same product name cover different documents and tests, do not compare their prices.
The location of technical textile companies varies by sub-sector and by the industries they serve, so generalizing from a single cluster would be misleading. Of the 271 firms with a valid TOBB capacity report for nonwovens (product code 13.95), 54 are in Gaziantep and 50 in Istanbul, while for impregnated, coated or covered fabrics (13.96.14), 88 of 202 firms are in Istanbul and 46 in Bursa (October 2026; sources: TOBB, 13.95 and TOBB, 13.96.14). The data covers only manufacturers that hold a capacity report; trading companies and some small workshops are not included. Use the province filter on the sub-sector pages to see companies close to you or your customer. For the wider picture of the field, see the technical textiles guide.
Performance is tied to a measurable specification and often to a certificate. Looking similar is not enough; ask which standard or customer specification the product was tested to, who certified it and which model the certificate covers.
Look at where the product will be used. Start with medical textiles for patient and hygiene use, automotive textiles for vehicle interiors and vehicle safety, protective clothing for garments that protect workers from hazards, geotextiles for ground and construction works, industrial filter fabrics for separating particles from air or liquid, and FIBC and PP woven bags for carrying bulk loads.
It depends on the sub-sector. As of the date of this page (October 8, 2026), medical device legislation applies to products classed as medical devices, personal protective equipment legislation to protective clothing and construction products legislation to geotextiles sold as construction products; in automotive supply, an IATF 16949 quality management system is often requested as a customer requirement. Details are on the sub-sector pages; consult an expert for your own product.
There is no single minimum that applies across technical textiles; it varies by sub-sector and company. Because raw material, testing and certification costs are spread over the quantity, special-spec products usually carry a higher minimum. Ask for the minimum in writing, together with the certificates and tests it covers.
