Manisa is a strong industrial province next to Izmir, but the sources we could verify do not document how much of its industry is textiles. In the September 2026 tables of the Mediterranean Exporters' Associations (AKİB), Manisa is neither among the top 20 provinces in yarn, fabric and fiber exports nor among the top 10 in apparel exports. These records show the province where a company is registered with its exporter association; the production address may be different. This page reports only information that has a source.
The region and raw material
The Zafer Development Agency says the TR33 Region, which includes Manisa (together with Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya and Usak), has an established production culture in marble, textiles, food, machinery, ceramics and energy. On its Manisa page the agency says the province has a strong industry thanks to its proximity to Izmir; it gives no separate textile figure for the province. On the raw material side, according to the July 2025 bulletin of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's TEPGE (Agricultural Economics and Policy Development Institute), about 3.6% of Turkey's cotton production in 2024 came from Manisa.
Industrial zones and districts
The Turgutlu OSB (organized industrial zone) was established in 1996 in Çepnidere, 3 km from Turgutlu, and today covers 342 hectares. The company categories on the OSB's website are food, machinery, ceramics and building elements, metalworking, packaging, electrical equipment, health products, wood products and other; there is no separate textile category. The Manisa OSB (Yunusemre district) says it is the first OSB to produce its own energy and hold a generation license, and it gives no sector breakdown. The Salihli Chamber of Commerce and Industry also puts agriculture and the added value derived from agriculture first in the district's economy.
Searching for suppliers in Manisa
Ask for the production address (the central district, Turgutlu, Salihli or another district), the industry registry certificate (Sanayi Sicil Belgesi) and, if the company exports, which exporter association it is registered with. On the apparel, fabric and yarn pages you can select Manisa with the province filter; see How to Choose a CMT Workshop in Turkey for the criteria to assess a workshop.
