Legal information
Content and Listing Rules
- Last updated: 15 October 2026
- Version 1.1
Other legal documents
These rules apply to all user content published or sent on Tekstil Rehberi, including company profiles, products, listings, job postings, photos, quotes, messages and buyer requests. They form part of the Terms of Use and the Membership Agreement. This English version is provided for information; the Turkish version prevails.
1. General principles
- Accurate and current: publish only real, verifiable and current information.
- On behalf of your own company: publish content only for a company you are authorized to represent.
- Industry-related: content must relate to textiles, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles and the machinery, trims and services connected to them.
- Original: texts and photos must be your own or you must have permission to use them.
- Right language: write Turkish in the Turkish fields and English in the English fields.
2. Company profiles
- The company name, legal name, address and contact details must be real; no other company's name, logo or identity may be imitated.
- The main category and fields of activity must show what the company actually does; unrelated categories may not be chosen to gain visibility.
- Claims about certificates, memberships and capacity (e.g. GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BSCI, production capacity) must be backed by valid documents, which must be provided on request.
3. Products
- A product must be one the company actually makes, sells or can supply.
- Product names have at most 120 characters and may not contain phone numbers, web addresses, email addresses or piles of keywords in capital letters.
- Descriptions must be original. Do not copy the text of another company or a supplier catalog word for word: the same description cannot be saved twice within one company, and a product whose description matches one published earlier by another company is kept out of search engines.
- Photos must be real and show the product itself; at most 6 photos can be uploaded per product, each with a short description (alt text). Do not use other people's photos without permission, and do not add contact details or other sites' addresses to photos.
- A price is optional; a price given must be real and state its unit (e.g. TRY/meter).
4. Listings
- Listing types: spare capacity, stock fabric, stock goods and used machinery. A listing must match the type chosen.
- What is offered must be real and available while the listing runs. Listings stay online for 30 to 90 days depending on their type and can be renewed at most 3 times.
- Mark a listing as "sold" or remove it when the item is sold or no longer available.
- Listings are published in the language they are written in; do not republish the same listing again and again at short intervals.
5. Job postings
This section applies to "We are hiring" job postings, which are published on the Turkish site only. The general principles and the prohibited content apply to job postings too. References to legislation in this section are for information and do not replace the law; the employer is responsible for the posting and the employment relationship complying with the law (Membership Agreement 12.4).
5.1 Who may post a job
- A job posting may only be published by a company live on Tekstil Rehberi, for its own open position.
- A private employment agency may post only with a valid licence number issued by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR). The licence number is shown on the posting and verified by a moderator against İŞKUR's list; postings of agencies, consultancies or HR firms without a licence are not published.
- Job vacancies published by İŞKUR and postings belonging to another employer or site may not be copied. A company may also publish its own posting for its own open position on other sites.
- "Looking for work" posts and announcements offering or seeking contract manufacturing are not job postings; use a request for quotation for contract manufacturing.
5.2 Accuracy and working conditions
- A posting is for a real position at a real workplace; the profession, province and district must be chosen correctly.
- The pay given is the employer's statement and may not be below the minimum wage: net pay is compared with the net, gross pay with the gross minimum wage, pro rata for part-time, daily and hourly pay. Piecework earnings may not fall below the minimum wage either. Without a figure the posting shows "Pay to be discussed".
- Social security registration (SGK) is mandatory. Wording such as "uninsured", "cash in hand" or "unpaid trial", and postings offering work on such terms, are prohibited.
5.3 No money or documents from candidates
- No fee of any kind (registration, file, training, course, materials, shipping, visa, certificate, deposit) may be asked of a candidate. Under Law No. 4904, charging job seekers is prohibited.
- A posting may not ask for an IBAN, bank or card details, an image of an identity card or a password. A criminal record certificate and a health report are asked for at hiring, not in the posting.
5.4 No discrimination
A posting may not discriminate on grounds such as sex, age, marital status, pregnancy, race, colour, language, religion, belief or sect, philosophical or political opinion, ethnic origin, health or disability (Law No. 6701 on the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye, Art. 3 and 6; Labour Law No. 4857, Art. 5); hiring may not depend on trade union membership (Law No. 6356 on Trade Unions and Collective Labour Agreements, Art. 25). Tekstil Rehberi also does not accept requirements on nationality, appearance, military service or the neighbourhood a candidate lives in. Exceptional cases where the nature of the job makes a requirement essential are assessed by a moderator. Examples:
| Do not write | Write instead |
|---|---|
| "Female machinist wanted", "male presser" | "Machinist wanted", "presser wanted" |
| "Not over 25", "under 35" | "Aged 18 or over"; years of experience where needed |
| "Single", "unmarried", "without children" | Working hours, shifts and shuttle details |
| "Without a headscarf", "must pray (namaz)" | A workwear rule where occupational safety requires it |
| "Good-looking", "application with photo" | The skills and experience needed |
| "Must be a Turkish citizen", "no foreigners" | "Holding a work permit for Türkiye" |
| "No health problems", "no disabled applicants" | An objective physical requirement of the job (e.g. "work standing"); "Disability quota" |
| "Not a union member" | Not written |
| "Military service completed" | Not written |
| "Living in the X neighbourhood" | Shuttle route details |
Allowed wording: "Aged 18 or over", "Disability quota", an objective physical requirement of the job, the language skills the job needs and "Holding a work permit for Türkiye".
5.5 Contact details
- Phone, WhatsApp and email go only into the contact fields of the form; no contact details, web addresses or social media accounts in the posting text.
- The contact details and calling hours of a posting are shown publicly to everyone who views it; candidates contact the employer directly.
- Tekstil Rehberi does not take applications, select candidates or place anyone in a job; contact is made directly with the employer.
5.6 Prohibited work
- Denim sandblasting and similar banned production methods;
- employing children under 15, and night work for anyone under 18;
- pyramid schemes, "like and earn", "easy extra income from home" and similar earnings promises;
- postings on behalf of another company (except postings of licensed agencies under 5.1) and postings for a position that does not exist.
5.7 Piecework at home
- For piecework done at home, the workplace type "At home, piecework" is chosen; the posting states how materials are delivered, the delivery and payment terms and the piece rate.
- For work done from home, no money for materials, registration or a deposit may be asked of the candidate.
5.8 Duration, renewal and repetition
- A job posting stays online for 30 days and can be renewed at most 2 times.
- A company may have only one open job posting for the same profession and district at a time; after a posting closes or expires, no new posting for the same profession and district can be sent for 7 days (an expired posting can be renewed in that time).
- A material change to a live posting (pay, way of working, location or contact details) sends it back to review; meanwhile the previous version stays online.
- The posting is closed once the position is filled.
5.9 "Urgent" and "Sponsored" labels
- The "Urgent" label is used only for positions starting immediately, once per posting and for 7 days; it is free in every package and does not change the order. It is removed if used untruthfully.
- Job postings labelled "Sponsored" are paid promotion; they are shown in a separate block and stay in their own place in the organic list. Job postings are sorted by their first publication date; packages, extra job posting credits, the "Urgent" label, featuring and verification do not change the order.
5.10 Moderation, reports and removal
- Every job posting is reviewed by a moderator before it is published. A posting that breaks the rules is rejected with a reason or sent back for correction.
- A posting reported for asking candidates for money or personal data (IBAN, an image of an ID card, a password) is shown as "Under review", with its contact details hidden until the review is finished, after a single report if the company is not verified by documents or on site; any posting reported by 3 independent people within 7 days for a fee, personal data, a fake posting, discrimination, unregistered work or unlicensed agency work is treated the same.
- If a phone cannot be reached or the position is reported filled, the company is asked to correct or close the posting within 72 hours; a posting not corrected in time is paused.
- A posting that breaks the rules may be taken down. For repeated or serious breaches, the company's right to post jobs may be restricted.
- Versions of job postings and moderation decisions are kept for 10 years and handed to competent authorities on request.
6. Prohibited content
The following may not be published or sent on the Platform:
- illegal goods and services; smuggled or stolen products, or products whose origin is concealed;
- counterfeit and replica products, and products using another's registered trademark, logo or design without permission;
- texts, photos and documents that infringe copyright;
- misleading or false information, fake certificates and documents, fake discounts or prices;
- fraud attempts, misleading attempts to collect prepayments outside the platform, fake companies or fake requests;
- insults, threats, hate speech, discrimination and obscenity;
- other people's personal data (names, phone numbers, identity details) and trade secrets;
- malware, phishing and malicious links;
- spam, publishing the same content again and again, keyword stuffing, pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing offers;
- content unrelated to the textile industry.
7. Quotes and messages
- Quotes must be relevant to the request, genuine and serious; bulk or template promotional messages may not be sent as quotes.
- Do not use rude or offensive language in messages, and do not bother buyers with products and services outside their request.
- Attachments may only be PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF files (at most 10 MB per file).
- Messages caught by the link, repetition and prepayment checks may be held until a moderator reviews them.
8. Buyer requests
- A request must be based on a real need. Collecting information from competitors or presenting price research as a real request is prohibited.
- Do not write phone numbers, email addresses or addresses in the request title and description; use the separate contact fields on the form.
9. Moderation
- Moderation of job postings is described in section 5. A company's first 5 products and listings approved by a moderator go through pre-approval; content of unverified companies always goes through pre-approval. Changes to published content may also be queued for review.
- Content reported for fraud, fake products, spam or copyright by 3 different visitors within 30 days is taken offline until a moderator reviews it.
- Content that breaks the rules is rejected, sent back for correction or taken down; the reason is given to the company in the Panel or by email. Decisions can be appealed through the contact form.
- Accounts of companies that break the rules seriously or repeatedly may be suspended or closed.
10. Sponsored content and labeling
- Paid featuring and sponsored placements are clearly labeled "Sponsored" on the site; there is no hidden advertising.
- Editorial content such as articles, glossary entries and directory guides is never written or changed for payment.
- The verification badge cannot be bought; it is only granted through the checks of the verification process.
- Paid packages give no priority in request matching and no advantage in organic ranking.
11. Reporting
If you see content that breaks these rules, use the "Report this content" link on product and listing pages, or the "İlanı bildir" (Report) link on the Turkish job posting pages. If you believe one of your rights is infringed, follow the procedure on the Infringement and Takedown Notice page.
