Manufacturers, agents and dealers that sell circular, flat and warp knitting machines. Compare them by asking about gauge, cylinder diameter and needle beds for the fabric or knitwear you plan to make.
For buyers
No companies are listed on this page yet. You do not have to wait for the list: describe what you need and request quotes.
Tell us the product, quantity and delivery location. You confirm your request with the link we e-mail you; requests are screened for spam, and our team reviews your first request. It is then sent to up to 20 companies working in this field and stays open for quotes in their company panel for 30 days. You compare the quotes you receive on one page.

List your company for freeKnitting machine suppliers are the companies that sell and make the circular, flat and warp knitting machines used to produce knitted fabric, knitwear and socks; companies that sell sock knitting machines are listed here too. If you want ready-made knitted fabric, see knitted fabric manufacturers; for knitted garments, see knitwear and sweaters companies; if you are looking for socks or a sock manufacturer, see socks and hosiery companies. The difference between circular and flat machines is explained in our guide to circular and flat knitting machines.
The machine is chosen by the structure you will knit. Weft knitting uses flat and circular machines; T-shirts, tracksuits and sweatshirts, sweaters, socks and underwear belong to this group. In warp knitting the loops are formed by yarns running lengthwise; swimwear, lace and tulle curtains are examples (Dönmez, 2008, a Dokuz Eylül University thesis). In circular knitting, single jersey is knitted on single-bed machines, while structures such as rib and interlock need double-bed machines. Your fabric range therefore decides the number of needle beds.
Compare the weight, width and appearance of the seller's sample with your own specification. Cotton Incorporated notes that a knit specification can also state machine gauge, cylinder diameter and needle count (ISP 1009); if you write these into your specification too, you can read quotes on the same basis.
Cylinder diameter and gauge, number of feeders, double-bed or jacquard design, control system, brand, and whether the machine is new or used. Compare quotes on the same gauge, diameter and number of feeders; machines with different technical values cannot be compared on price.
Companies selling sewing, weaving, dyeing and finishing, cutting and printing equipment are collected on the textile machinery sector page.
Single jersey is knitted only on a single-bed machine, which has just a cylinder. Interlock is knitted on a double-bed circular machine, which has two needle beds, a cylinder and a dial. If you plan to make both fabrics, state the number of needle beds in your quote request from the start.
The weight (GSM) of a knitted fabric depends on the yarn count, the machine gauge and the stitch length. The same yarn gives a different weight and look on a machine of a different gauge. Ask for the gauge (E) and the cylinder diameter (in inches) to be written into the quote.
No. The companies on this page sell machines. For ready-made fabric, look at knitted fabric manufacturers.
Cylinder diameter and gauge, number of feeders, double-bed or jacquard design, control system, brand and whether the machine is new or used all change the price. Machines with different technical values cannot be compared on price; compare quotes on the same gauge, diameter and number of feeders.
It depends on whether the machine is ready at the seller, on the gauge, diameter and equipment you choose for a model ordered in, and on the installation and operator-training schedule. The exact time varies by company; have the quote state the delivery date and who will carry out the first setup.
