- Wholesale clothing means ready-made garments bought in quantity to resell; products made for your own label are contract or private-label production, a separate category.
- Suppliers fall roughly into three types: manufacturer-wholesalers that sell what they make, wholesalers that resell from several sources, and dealers that distribute a brand.
- Minimum orders can be set in pieces, size runs (packs) or order value, per style or for the whole order; ask which unit applies before you request a quote.
- Turkey's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 defines a consumer as a person acting for non-commercial, non-professional purposes, so do not count on consumer rights when you buy to resell.
- In sales between merchants, notice periods for defects are short (Turkish Commercial Code art. 23); count goods on receipt and notify the seller in writing at once.
Guide to Wholesale Clothing

Wholesale clothing suppliers in Turkey sell ready-made garments in quantity to shops, boutiques and online sellers. First work out which type you are dealing with: manufacturer-wholesalers that sell what they make, wholesalers that buy from several sources and resell, or dealers that distribute a brand's products. The type shapes price, flexibility and delivery time.
What wholesale clothing covers
Ready-made products only. Not covered:
- Products made for your own brand. That is contract or private-label production: see CMT sewing workshops.
- Fabric and trims wholesalers, listed under fabrics and trims and accessories.
- Shops and e-commerce sites selling single pieces to consumers.
Wholesale suppliers by product group
If you are after a specific product group, start from that group's sector page: pajamas and loungewear, scarves and hijabs, wedding and evening dresses, modest clothing, baby and kids clothing, socks and hosiery and swimwear and beachwear. For T-shirts and sweatshirts, go to knit apparel; for shirts and pants, to woven apparel; for an overview, to apparel. On these pages you can also narrow the list by choosing “Wholesaler” in the business type filter. For duties and import documents, see our clothing manufacturers guide.
Ask a wholesale clothing supplier about minimums, stock, price terms and returns
- Minimum order: In pieces, size runs (packs) or order value? Per style or per order?
- Stock: In the warehouse or made to order? Do fabric and color stay the same on a reorder?
- Price terms: VAT included or excluded? Shipping and packing extra? A different price for payment up front and on credit? Which currency, and how long is the quote valid?
- Delivery: Collection at the seller's warehouse, or shipping included? Ask which Incoterms rule applies and who is liable for damaged or missing goods.
- Returns: Turkey's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 defines a consumer as someone acting for non-commercial, non-professional purposes (law text, in Turkish), so do not count on consumer rights when you buy to resell. Get terms for faulty goods, missing pieces and size exchanges in writing.
- Product information: Does the label show fiber composition and care instructions? Make sure the product is genuine, not a brand imitation.
Wholesale clothing prices depend on quantity, fabric, season and stock
Quantity, fabric composition and weight (GSM), labor, season and stock. End-of-season goods are usually cheaper, but sizes and colors may be incomplete; currency and raw-material swings can shorten a price list's validity. Compare composition, weight, size chart and inclusions: garments that look alike may differ in quality.
Where to look for a wholesale clothing supplier
We have no sourced ranking of which province is strong in which product group, so we name no areas. Filter by province and check the address on the profile: where goods are sold may differ from where they are made.
Your first wholesale order: sample, count and keep it in writing
- Keep the first order small. Wash the sample and check measurements against the size chart.
- Count and open goods on receipt. If something is wrong, have the carrier's delivery record note it and tell the seller in writing at once: notice periods for defects are short in sales between merchants (Turkish Commercial Code art. 23, in Turkish). For sampling logic, see AQL quality control.
- Keep the price list, payment and return terms in writing.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a wholesaler and a manufacturer?
A manufacturer makes the product in its own workshop or through contract workshops; a wholesaler sells goods bought from other sources. A manufacturer is often more flexible on style, color and fabric, while a wholesaler usually sells from the stock it holds. Ask which one you are dealing with: it settles your price and delivery expectations from the start.
How is the minimum order set in wholesale clothing?
There is no standard. A supplier may set the minimum in pieces, size runs (packs) or order value, per style or for the whole order. Before you ask for a quote, find out which unit it is counted in and whether you can mix sizes and colors.
What should I do if wholesale goods arrive faulty?
First check the return and exchange terms you were given in writing when you ordered. As of October 8, 2026, Article 23 of the Turkish Commercial Code requires, in a sale between merchants, that a defect visible on delivery be notified to the seller within two days, and that goods with a hidden defect be inspected within eight days of delivery and any defect notified within that period. Count the goods at once, photograph the difference and notify the seller in writing. Ask a legal adviser which rules apply to your purchase, especially for a cross-border sale, so that you do not lose any rights.
Is buying wholesale the same as having clothing made for my own label?
No. Wholesale means buying ready-made products in quantity, as they are, to resell. Having garments made to your own design and label is contract or private-label production, a separate service: if you supply the fabric, look for CMT sewing workshops; for full-package production, where the manufacturer also sources the fabric, look in the apparel sector.
