Tracksuit and Jogger Manufacturers in Turkey

The tracksuits category covers factories and CMT (cut, make, trim) workshops making track pants (sweatpants), track tops, matching sets and joggers. Of the 1,459 firms with a valid TOBB capacity report for knitted tracksuits (product code 14.19.12.10), 956 are in Istanbul and 105 in Izmir (October 2026). The data cover only manufacturers that hold a capacity report; woven tracksuits are not in this code.

Shrinkage in length changes the measurements

Track pants are long garments, so the effect of washing shrinkage shows most in the length. In a study of unbrushed two-thread cotton samples, shrinkage in length of about 6.7–7.3% was measured (Uyanık, 2023). At that rate, a 100 cm inseam would get about 7 cm shorter. The value depends on the fabric and the finishing and cannot be generalized, but it shows why the measurements should be checked after washing as well.

Ask the company to give the size chart separately for before and after washing, to state the fabric’s shrinkage value, and to say whether it leaves an allowance in the leg length. For the causes of shrinkage, see fabric shrinkage.

Waistband, cuffs and pockets

Besides the fabric, the waistband, cuff and pocket details decide the quality of a tracksuit:

• Waistband elastic and drawcord. Ask who supplies the elastic and the cord, and who runs the stretch and recovery test. Suppliers are listed under elastic and tape.
• Leg cuffs and ankle rib. In a jogger, the gathered look at the ankle depends on the elasticity of the rib. Check on the sample whether the rib loosens after washing and whether it stays the same shade as the body.
• Pockets and zippers. If there are zippered pockets, ask about the zipper pull test and whether bar-tack reinforcement stitching is applied at the stress points of the pocket opening.

Shade matching in sets

Fabric can differ in shade between rolls, or between the start and end of one roll; for this reason the plies are numbered at cutting (Turkish Ministry of National Education vocational module). For a set, have it written that the top and bottom are cut from the same fabric lot and the same dye lot. A shade difference can appear between a top and a bottom cut from different lots.

Wash and measure the tracksuit sample, then write down the acceptance tolerance

Wash the sample and measure it. How do the waistband’s elastic recovery, the shape of the leg-cuff rib and the length measurement hold up after washing? Write the post-wash measurement tolerance you will accept in bulk production on the basis of this sample.

Track pants use a lot of fabric: a long garment and a loose cut mean more meters. Fabric weight (seasonal or winter brushed), the number of pockets and zippers, the waistband construction, and whether it is a set or a single piece shape the quote.
